The unique, boutique Goldener Hirsch Inn is the only family-owned hotel at Deer Valley. Since 1992 it has been owned and operated by the philanthropic Eccles family whose Utah roots date back to the late 1800’s having been part of the development of Utah since then. The inspiration for the Inn dates back multiple decades to the family's visits to the original Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria. THE HIGHLY AWARDED GOLDENER HIRSCH INN
The Goldener Hirsch Inn, a small luxury resort nestled in the heart of Deer Valley, was again voted the country’s “Best Ski Boutique Hotel” in the World Ski Awards for the second time in three years.
The World Ski Awards, part of the World Travel Awards, also recognized Deer Valley as the Best Resort in North America. Both were crowned this past weekend at a three-day awards ceremony in Kitzbühel, Austria— just 50 miles from the Goldener Hirsch’s namesake and inspiration, the Hotel Goldener Hirsch in Salzburg, Austria.

This award is the latest accolade for Goldener Hirsch Inn, which has received acclaim for its accommodations and personalized service since opening in 1991. In addition to earning “Extraordinary” ratings from the Zagat Survey and “Four-Diamond” ratings from AAA for the past 12 years, it has won repeated recognition from magazines including Wine Spectator.
